Pitch Prep for Weds: Completed!
Many thanks to everyone that turned up today in response to our appeal for help in replacing divots to prepare the pitch for our midweek match.
What would take two people 3 days to complete was finished in just 2 hours!
Thanks too to Jenny M for laying on some very welcome bacon rolls. Another great response by the WRFC family. Thank you
Pitch Preparation for Wednesday: Andy & Tacker need your help!
Can you spare an hour two from 12 noon on Monday 24 January?
Following the Braves game on Saturday we have to replace divots and roll the pitch in readiness for our league match against Highworth Town on Wednesday evening.
Any time you can spare to don your wellies and help with this task will be much appreciated as this is definitely a case of “more hands make light work”!
Friendly banter and tea, coffee & biscuits are guaranteed!
Hopefully see some of you on Monday.
Seasons Greetings from WRFC
Everyone at WRFC would like to wish all our supporters, sponsors and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous and Covid-free New Year.
Remember, we have two big events coming up to entertain you over the festive period: on Monday 27 December we have a home local derby match against our friends from Plymouth Parkway, with kick off at 1pm; and on 31 December at 8pm we will be holding our New Year’s Eve Party with live band K2.
Please support these events if you can.

Official Club Statement: Alfie Moulden Joins W-s-M
OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT – ALFIE MOULDEN
Willand Rovers are pleased to announce that, tonight, talented young forward Alfie Moulden has left the club to sign an 18-month contract with Weston-super-Mare AFC. Whilst we are saddened to see Alfie go, the Club acknowledges that he is a player of real promise who has been given an opportunity to play at a higher level, an advancement that we are pleased to endorse. His development is testament to the hard work that our management team of Russell Jee and David Steele puts into developing the young players in their squad.
As part of the transfer agreement Willand Rovers have secured the services of striker Ben Griffith and winger Bailey Kempster on extended loan agreements until the end of the season. We have also recently transferred in another exciting prospect from Weston-super-Mare, Travis Yule-Turner, for the remainder of the season.
We would like to thank Scott Bartlett and Weston-super-Mare AFC for their professional approach during negotiations ad would wish them well for the rest of the season.
Everyone at Willand Rovers FC would also wish Alfie every success in his new venture.
