Willand Rovers v Bideford AFC

The final home game of the season brings a Bank Holiday Monday buzz to The Stan Robinson Stadium with Bideford making the trip on the A361 over to Silver Street for a Devon Derby in the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South with a 3 pm KO!

Last time out for Rovers it was a trip up in the valleys of Bath where Larkhall awaited us on a relatively mild afternoon with a point a piece being settled upon with Douglas Camilo striking from the spot for his second of the season before Max Williams cancelled out the lead as the game whistled towards additional time.

The focus now heads to Monday with Sean Joyce’s Robins migrating their way across the county and with their season also wrapped up and survival secured there are still points to play for but more importantly local pride.

Bideford had a visit from Mousehole at the weekend which was probably one to remember for the hosts as they struck four past Chenowerth on the afternoon with goals from Jack Winsor, Jamie Hearsay, Jordan Ewing & Josh Webber.

One to look out for the opposition this weekend would have to be Alex Moyse who is a familiar face around the Street as he’s had a spell or two at Rovers with him being a fan favourite with his creativity from the middle of the pack and all-round sportsmanship to the game.

The last time out between both sides was on Boxing Day when the weather outside wasn’t so delightful but game was on at The Sports Ground but a narrow defeat for Rovers gave the hosts a late present of three points on the afternoon in North Devon.

As it is our last home game of the season, we urge you to come down to Silver Street like you have done all season to get behind the lads. More importantly than ever in a huge game for Devon football. But also it is your chance to cast your vote for Player of the Season with slips being on the bar to submit your winner.

We are also hosting our Awards Ceremony on the 3rd of May which also coincides with a race night at the clubhouse. Everyone is welcome to the event to celebrate a vital season for the All-Whites from 7 pm.
