*BAILEY KEMPSTER IS GOING NOWHERE!* He will be back at Silver Street for the 2026/27 season.
Willand Rovers are delighted to announce that we have triggered the contract extension of fans favourite Bailey Kempster which keeps him in EX15 for another season!
Bailey joined the club permanently last season after several loan spells at the street from Weston Super-Mare AFC. Kempster continued his run of rich form as a Rover throughout the 25/26 season providing top performances and key goals to the Willand faithful. Bails will be back in white and black once more this campaign as he brings more magic and memories to Rovers.

Club media caught up with Bailey Kempster, as he expressed his joy over the extension of his contract, and this is what he had to say: “Delighted to have signed for another season. I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me.
I’m looking forward to working hard, and helping the team achieve its goals this season. Can’t wait to get started again in a few weeks time.”
We also spoke to Ben Watson following Bailey committing his future to Rovers, “Delighted that Bailey has decided to commit to the club this season. There’s no hiding the fact Bailey is our talisman and he is so important to what we are building here at Willand Rovers FC.
Bailey was outstanding last season and is a player that gets fans off their seats and we adore him. There is so much more to come and I can’t wait to see the wizard perform for the mighty Rovers.”

Defender Josh Baxter arrives into Silver Street for the 2026/27 season.
Willand Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of talented defender Josh Baxter ahead of the 2026/27 season 🤝
Josh came through the ranks at Torquay United as a youngster before plying his trade around several step 3 & 4 clubs including Dorchester, Mousehole & Tavistock. At 24, Baxter has a huge future ahead of him and see’s Willand as the next part of the chapter!

Club media caught up with Ben Watson, as he reflected on the signing of Josh Baxter to Rovers, and this is what he had to say: “Josh is a player that is ambitious and wants to learn and progress. He already has 2 seasons at Southern League level and will add athleticism, strength and quality to the team.
We want a squad of players who are willing to share the loading, perform and fight for one another and the badge and Josh underpins these traits.
Josh also spoke to us following his switch to Silver Street, “I’m really pleased to be here. The conversations I had with Watto were really positive, and his vision for the club and the way he goes about things were a big factor in my decision. I know a few of the lads already and they’ve all spoken highly of the club and the environment here. I can’t wait to get started!”
