Joel Jackson has committed to Willand Rovers Football Club for the 2026/27 season following a hugely impressive campaign that saw him crowned the club’s Young Player of the Season.
A player renowned for his versatility, work ethic, and consistency, Jackson became an important figure within the squad throughout the 2025/26 season. Whether deployed in defence, midfield, or wider areas, he continually delivered committed performances and demonstrated the qualities of a player with significant potential. Jackson’s attitude and development across the season were recognised at the club’s end-of-season awards, where he deservedly picked up the Young Player of the Season accolade.

Club media caught up with Ben Watson, as we welcomed the second member of the 26/27 squad back to Silver Street, and this is what he had to say: “Joel is Mr Versatile and his attitude and commitment has never faltered. Joel has all the tools to be a top player and his Young Player of the Season award was well deserved. I’m expecting big things this season from Joel and delighted he’s committed to the mighty Rovers.”
Joel spent much of his youth career involved with the academy setup at Exeter City Football Club before stepping into adult football with Honiton Town Football Club and Crediton United Football Club. He later joined Street Football Club in the Western League before moving to Tavistock Association Football Club midway through the 2024/25 season, where he impressed during 24 appearances for The Lambs.
