ROVERS Under-15 laid a footballing ghost to rest on Sunday at Bridgwater when a new-look team (managed by Clive Jones with Steve Birley moving upstairs as general manager) inflicted a first league defeat on last season’s DOUBLE WINNING side WEMBDON, beating them 3-1 with goals from Tom Mortiboys, Sam Rawlings and Jack Rawlings. Earlier in the day, back at HQ the Under-14s were 6-3 winners over a side from Bristol with goals from Tom Rhodes (2), Kyle Allen (2), Kieran Fry and Callum Luke.
