Rovers begin a busy month of pre-season action with a Saturday (August 1) visit to South West Peninsula League Premier East outfit Axminster Town.

That’s followed by a midweek trip to another SWPL side, Ilfracombe Town. There are seven confirmed pre-season fixtures ahead of the current ‘proposed’ start date for the new Southern League season of September 19. However, in these strange times we are all living through with the Coronavirus pandemic it’s still not clear as to if the season can begin then. Rugby clubs have been issued with three different scenarios for the 2020/21 season with the campaign having ‘three windows’ – window one being 14 fixtures which, if they can be played will see the season move into window two and similar with window three.

In contrast to that, the SWP League have announced that their season will begin on Saturday, September 5.

Here’s the list of dates we currently know about.
