The four Rovers Under-16 team members all played their parts in the Devon Under-16 3-0 win over GWENT at the former home of Newport County on Sunday. Josh Mclean played the first half in goal before Harrison Burton took over after the break – Harrison has now kept clean sheets in seven-and-a-half matches already this season (he’s also unbeaten in Rovers colours for over five hours! Sam Jones and Bailey Jason-Ryan started the game together in central midfield. Rovers Under-16 boss Clive Jones was at the game in mid-Wales and he said: “All our lads played their parts in what was a very good all-round performance by the team. I also thought the hospitality afforded the party of players, officials and supporters, of which I was one, was first class.”
