Reserves boss Rob Buxton said after the 2-2 draw at Heavitree Social United: “ Another fine effort from my lads, but sadly once again we are left to rue the fact that, in mine and many others opinion the referee has played a massive part in us not winning the game and bagging three richly deserved points. The equaliser for them was scored six, yes SIX minutes into added time and I am still wondering where on earth that extra time came from! I feel for the lads (and it’s not the first time I have said that this year – they gave it their all and were rightfully looking at a deserved win prior to that ‘where did that extra time come from’ goal! They were an aggressive and strong team, we did very well. We keep going and the game next Saturday with Thorverton is now a real ‘six pointer’ in the context of the Fresha League table.”
