SEASON 8 2008/09 PREMIER DIVISION

Once again the season was launched with a meeting here against Hallen although this time the meeting ended all square at 1-1. The first ten games this season produced a tally of 14 points as we won just three of those games and drew five whilst losing two, at Sherborne and at Calne Town.
The final ten games an impressive 23 points from SEVEN victories, two draws and just the one defeat (that a surprise 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Chard Town). We did have a run of six wins and a draw in one sequence whilst another saw is draw FIVE in SEVEN games! We lost just three League games at home, beaten by Bitton, Frome and Chard.
SEASON 7 2007/08 PREMIER DIVISION

OUR BEST EVER FINISH
Yes, in just our third season of top flight Western League football we achieved a 3rd place finish with a tally of 76 points, our highest in the Premier Division to date.
The first ten games produced a total of 22 points with SEVEN wins, a draw and a couple of defeats. WE began with a 5-1 home win over Hallen and scored 21 goals in the first seven games!
The final ten games delivered 20 points from an unbeaten run that saw five games won and as many drawn.
We had a wonderful unbeaten run that stretched from a January 26th 3-0 home win over Melksham Town right through until the final game of the season on May 3rd. Our poorest run this term was one of FIVE outings from October 27th to November 13th during which time we did not win one League game.
SEASON 6 2006/07 PREMIER DIVISION:

An improvement on the previous season in terms of points (73 to 65), but there were four more games this term.
The first ten game produced 15 points from five wins whist the remaining five games were all lost!
The final ten games dished up a total of 14 point from four wins, two draws and four defeats.
We had a marvellous run of FIFTEEN games without defeat that ran from the Boxing Day home 2-1 win over Dawlish right through until the April 9th defeat at Dawlish (0-3). WE also had THREE successive draws this season but did get beaten no fewer than SIX times at home as Calne, Melksham, Bridgwater Town, Radstock, Street and Frome all left with the points in then bag!
SEASON 5 2005/06 WESTERN LEAGUE PREMIER:

THE FIRST AS A TOP FLIGHT OUTFIT!
The first ten games this season delivered five wins, two draws and three defeats and a total of 17 points.
The final four engagements saw four wins, four draws and a brace of defeats banking 16 points.
All SIX of the first HOME games were won and the first team to win a Premier League game against us at Silver Street was Corsham on January 21st 2006. The longest run without a win this term was one of FOUR games and the best run without defeat was of NINE games. We finished SIXTH some 29 points behind champions Bideford. Four teams beat us here at home, Corsham, Calne, Melksham and Bristol Manor Farm, and another four left with draws, Bishop Sutton, Odd Down, Welton Rovers and Barnstaple Town.
SEASON 4 2004/05 WESTERN LEAGUE DIV 1:

A PROMOTION WINNING campaign.
The first ten games yielded EIGHTEEN points as five games were won, three drawn and just two lost.
The final ten were a magnificent sequence of NINE wins and one draw!
During this glorious season Rovers had a run of 12 games unbeaten from February 26th 2005 right through to the final game of the season on May 7th. WE also had a purple patch of EIGHT straight victories from October 20th 2004 through until December 11th but also in this campaign we had FOUR straight draws. The first game of the season saw us beat visiting WELLINGTON 2-0 whilst our first away game ended in a 0-0 draw at LARKHALL.
SEASON 3 2003/04 WESTERN LEAGUE DIV 1:

The first ten games saw a tally of just NINE points from two wins, three draws and five defeats.
The final ten games produced 15 points from four wins, three draws and three defeats.
This season we had a run of SEVEN games when we did not suffer defeat and also had a run of SIX games without a win. We also recorded one superb spell of SIX straight victories. We started the season with a 2-0 home defeat to BRISTOL MANOR FARM, lost the next game too – also at home, to CALNE TOWN, before winning our first away game, that 1-0 at CADBURY HEATH.
SEASON 2 2002/03 WESTERN LEAGUE DIV 1:

The first 10 games of the season yielded 12 points from four wins and six defeats.
The last 10 games of the season produced 17 points from five wins, two draws and three defeats.
This season our best spell was a run of SEVEN games without defeat but we did suffer FOUR straight defeats and had a run of FIVE games without a victory. This season saw us start with three straight away game, we lost the opener at WESTBURY. Our first home game was against TORRINGTON and we lost this one too, beaten 5-3. Our first home win was, like the previous season, in our 2nd game, this time against BRISTOL MANOR FARM who we beat 3-1.
SEASON 1 2001/02. WESTERN LEAGUE DIV 1:

The first 10 games of the season produced 14 points from four wins, two draws and four defeats.
The last 10 games of the season produced 9 points from two wins, three draws and five defeats.
We went SIX games without a win from 29/12/2001 to 23/2/2002 whilst the longest run without defeat this season was one of FOUR games. The first ever Western League game was the August 18th game at ILFRACOMBE that we won 4-1 but we lost our first home game, that the August 25th meeting with HALLEN that saw them leave with a single goal win. Our first Western League home win came on September 11th when we beat SHEPTON MALLET 2-0. Twice this term we scored six goals, at TORRINGTON in September and 6-1 at home to WARMINSTER in April.
