Mike Hawkins – Chairman

Mike Hawkins became Chairman of the club in August 2022, filling the big-boots of long-time predecessor Mike “Mitch” Mitchell.

Mike H is a local businessman who has been involved with the management committee of the club since 2019 and in the role of Vice Chairman since 2021.

Mike is honoured and privileged to take on the baton from Mitch and lead the club forward in the next chapter of it’s existence.

Mike brings a wealth of business experience to the party to help drive the commercial development of the club’s operations forward such that Willand Rovers is well prepared to face the challenges of our Southern Football League adventure in the years ahead.

Peter Ward – President

The Silver Street figure head!

President Peter Ward wears his Rovers colours very much on his sleeve. Is there a job at Silver Street he has not been involved in? Unlikely! Quite simply Peter is the sort of chap EVERY club needs amongst their number!

Mike Mitchell – Vice Chairman

Mike Mitchell, after 25 years at the Rovers helm, stood down as Chairman in August 2022 for a well earned rest!

His experience and knowledge wont however be lost to the club, as he has now taken on the role as Vice Chairman.

Mike is a smashing man who is well respected by everyone in the local football community. He was no mean player himself in his playing days and then followed that by being a successful first team manager. You will find ‘Mitch’, as he is more affectionately known, in many of the archived Rovers team pictures.

He has been totally devoted to WRFC for many years, giving freely of his time to develop the facilities and to advance the club to the lofty position in the National League System that it finds itself in today.

Mike Mitchell is truly a Willand Rovers legend!

Dumper! The Rovers half-time draw ace

Dumper – as he is so affectionately known, was pictured here in the stand at a visit to Hallen in our Western League days. Dumper can often been seen on home matchdays helping with that all important fund raising initiative – the match day draw.
